PMC Helps Tim Win with Love
Tim Young and Metropolis Mastering received their second TEC (Technical Excellence & Creativity) Award in New York last month, for the 5.1 surround sound mastering of the Beatles ‘Love’ Album. The high-resolution 5.1 surround mix was monitored on PMC’s BB5 XBD-Active LCR and MB2 Rears, providing the ultimate surround sound mix for music enthusiasts and audiophiles alike.
PMC and Metropolis have worked together for many years supplying some of the world’s most famous artists with superb quality recording and mastering. PMC is represented throughout all divisions of the vast West London complex, from recording and mixing to mastering. (BB5 XBD Active Stereo system, LB1 5.1 Surround monitoring system, IB1S Stereo system and DB5.1 Surround Monitoring).
Earlier this year, Metropolis expanded its surround mastering capabilities by constructing a forty square metre state of the art, no compromise, surround mastering room including PMC’s large-scale high definition surround monitoring system. A room of this proportion required the definitive system, consisting of the free standing BB5 XBD Active L, C, R & MB2 XBD-Active rear left and right.
Established in 1985, the Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards is the foremost program recognizing the achievements of audio professionals.
