The Edge—Lead & Assistant Engineers
LEAD ENGINEER
We are a small but long established (19 years), up-market custom installation company based in Ipswich, Suffolk. We are currently looking for an additional Lead Engineer to join our existing team to work on residential projects.
We cover all the usual disciplines including home cinema, multi-room audio, lighting control, data and telephone networks, etc, etc. All work is domestic and ranges from small single discipline jobs (eg home cinema or lighting system) through to long term, large scale projects which may include all the elements of work we undertake.
Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work to very high standards, either individually or as part of a team, and must have good communication and problem solving skills.
Some experience of AV installation is required (please note if you have little or no experience but are enthusiastic to learn, we are also recruiting for an Assistant Engineer). We are a CEDIA member and will provide CEDIA training and certification as well as manufacturer and in-house training. There are excellent opportunities to progress within the company.
ASSISTANT ENGINEER
We are currently looking for an Assistant Engineer to join our existing team to work on residential projects.
We cover all the usual disciplines including home cinema, multi-room audio, lighting control, data and telephone networks, etc, etc. All work is domestic and ranges from small single discipline jobs (eg home cinema or lighting system) through to long term, large scale projects which may include all the elements of work we undertake.
Experience is not essential, but we are looking for someone with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a passion for what we do. We can teach you the rest!
